Non-Members

Silverdale welcomes guests at our range on a day pass.  A day pass guest is considered a person who does not possess a membership.  Licensed with a PAL and has their own firearms or persons with a guest who does not have a firearms license.  All licensed and unlicensed guests who want to pass the front gate must pay a $20.00 day pass fee (No exceptions).

  • HOURS OF OPERATION FOR GUESTS

    Monday to Friday 10 to 5 pm and Saturday and Sundays 9 am to 5 pm.

    EXCEPTION: During hunting season September 1 to November 30, non members will be permitted during hunting season to use the 50 yard range, 100/200 yard range and the 40/60/100 meter ranges.

    WEEKDAYS – Guests are welcome to come to the range during office hours only Monday to Friday 10 to 5 and Saturday and Sunday 9 to 5.

    ALL Holiday Hours (Besides Christmas Day and New Years Day) –  10 am to 4 pm

  • RANGES TO BE USED

    Guests will be permitted to use our Range #5 (40/60/100m) and trap ranges ONLY, all other ranges are for member use only. See exception above for hunting season ranges use and hours.

  • LICENSED AND UNLICENSED GUESTS

    Our range maintains one person with a firearms license to one person without a firearms license.  You may bring one guest or family member without a firearm license when you visit the range.  We encourage you to maintain an even licensed to unlicensed guest/family ratio.   NO EXCEPTIONS

    During hunting season August 20 to November 30, no persons NOT SHOOTING will be permitted beyond the front gate.  Be prepared to leave your guests at the front if they are not shooting.

    Unlicensed guest should not be given a fully loaded magazine, they should be shown to load one bullet at a time.  Unlicensed guests are not permitted to rapid fire or double tap under any circumstances. At all times the PAL holder must be within arms reach of the unlicensed guest, this means that the member or licensed PAL holder many not shoot, may not step to the next bench, load magazines or be distracted in any manner while the unlicensed person is shooting.  In addition to your total attention on your unlicensed guest/family you will NOT pass a loaded firearm at anytime.  It is your responsible for your guests safety and understanding of range rules

  • GUEST WITH RESTRICTED FIREARMS

    Day Pass Guests who bring restricted firearms must provide the following information:

    1. Proof of completing a Club Level Handgun Course.
    2. Proof of valid membership to a CFO certified range.
    3. Request an invitation for use of your firearm at Silverdale by emailing gunrange4u@yahoo.ca
  • THINGS YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU TO THE RANGE
    1. Identification  –  PAL, Drivers License, Birth Certificate, Health Card or Passport for everyone who will be passing the front gate
    2.  Stapler  –  Stapler or tape to put up your targets, we do not supply staplers.  Stapler rental is available for $5.00 including staples
    3. Ear and Eye protection it is mandatory while on any firing line, please remember to bring these items.
  • RANGE RULES

    Read our range rules before you come to the range. You can find our range rules under the membership tab. Read all rules posted at the entrance of each range before shooting.

    ADDITIONAL COSTS: Sight in with a range officer (Todd) $10.00, Spotting Scope rental $5.00, Stapler rental $5.00, additional targets .25 cents per 5 targets.

    BEGINNER TRAINING PACKAGES: This is an introduction to basic firearm use on a certified CFO shooting range. Emphasis will be on range rules and safety. The instructor will spend personal time with you and your firearm(s), he will instruct you on how to sight in your firearm, tear down and cleaning and complete the day with some accuracy skills. Cost is $50.00, appointment is required, call the office Monday to Friday 10 to 5 at 905-957-7362.
