Holster Course

The Club Level Holster Course is offered to Silverdale Gun Club members only!

To ensure eligibility for enrollment, participants must have met two essential requirements: the successful completion of the ATT (club level handgun course) and the fulfillment of the mandatory 4 probationary shoots.

Firearm:
Centerfire Semi-automatic pistol. No rimfire pistols, no revolvers, no Tokarevs. Firearms must be in good working condition. At least 2 magazines will be required, more is better.

Magazine Holders:
They are convenient to have. But if you have regular pockets, not 100% required.

Ammunition:
Please bring 100 rounds of safe ammunition that functions properly in your specific firearm.

Holster:
You may only use a hip or drop-leg holster. No concealment, cross-draw, shoulder, appendix ankle, etc.

Your holster must be a hard-sided, molded, plastic/kydex/polymer holster, manufactured to fit the specific make and model firearm you will be using eg. (no using a 1911 in a Glock holster). No leather!

Ghost/CR-Speed/Race holsters may be used, however, please ensure that they are properlyand safely adjusted to fit/hold your firearm before arriving to the class. If you are unsure how to adjust the holster properly, please contact Chris as early as possible prior to the class.

Your holster should not have an “FBI cant”; it should not point backwards on an angle. While standing up straight and square, your pistol must not point rearward further than the back of your heel.

Drop-leg panels must have at least one strap to keep the panel tight against the thigh.
